Every year on July 26th, India celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas to honor the victory in the Kargil War and remember our brave soldiers.
The Kargil War happened in 1999 between India and Pakistan. It lasted from May to July and took place in the Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Our soldiers fought in high altitudes, facing harsh weather and difficult terrain. It was a true test of courage and strength.
Many soldiers showed incredible bravery. Their courage and sacrifice were key to our victory.
India launched Operation Vijay to push back the intruders. On July 26th, 1999, India declared victory.
Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated across India with ceremonies and events, especially in Delhi and Dras, near the Kargil battlefield.
Memorials like the Kargil War Memorial in Dras honor the martyrs who gave their lives for our country.
Kargil Vijay Diwas reminds us of the sacrifices made by our soldiers and fills us with pride and patriotism.
We salute our heroes and are forever grateful for their bravery and sacrifice. Jai Hind!
